Grew up in Chicago, started lifting and running @Iowa during undergrad. Started CF in 2013 in Golden Colorado during grad school after 8yrs of consistent lifting in globo gyms. Lvl1 in 2015, CF rowing cert in 2016, Lvl2 in 2021. Started CF coaching by coaching CF coaches in rowing specific seminars. Competes in Indoor rowing, strongman, and bjj. Is a federal hydrologist that also fights wildland fires and uses his functional fitness in his daily work. For fun he likes to mountaineer, duck hunt, and fish. His 72yro mom has been crossfitting for 6yrs and is proof that anyone can do it. I also judged at the last ever Crossfit regionals.regional.
